Sandeep Lamichhane is the influential leg-spinner of the Nepalese team. Sandeep, who is about to enter his 24th year, is also an experienced player of the team. Sandeep was not part of the team in the previous two matches of the ongoing World Cup.

He could not go to America because America refused to give him a visa. Therefore, he got the opportunity to play only two matches of the ongoing World Cup in the Caribbean nation. Although he did not take a wicket in the match against South Africa, his performance was good.

Sandeep played his last international match in November last year before taking the field against South Africa. Sandeep is also very familiar with the stadium pitches of West Indies. Sandeep has also played in the Caribbean Premier League before. It seems that the spin bowlers are also performing well on the pitch of the Caribbean nation.

Sandeep is also the highest international wicket taker for Nepal. He is also on the verge of 100 wickets in T20 international cricket. He has taken 98 wickets in T20 international cricket so far.

With two more wickets in the match against Bangladesh in the ongoing World Cup, he will complete his 100 wickets in T20 international cricket. Sandeep played 53 T20 international tournaments and took 98 wickets. The match against Bangladesh will be his 54th match.

In the match against South Africa, he missed an opportunity to equal a record in T20 international cricket. Had he been able to take two wickets in that match, his name would have been included in the list of players who have taken 100 wickets while playing the least number of matches in T20 international cricket.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan is the bowler who took 100 wickets while playing the least number of matches in T20 international cricket. He also took 100 wickets while playing 53 matches. Sandeep's best performance in a single innings of a T-20 international match was five wickets, conceding just nine runs.

He has played famous franchise cricket in various countries and has taken five wickets once and four wickets twice in T20 International. In addition, he has taken a total of 112 wickets in 50 innings of 51 one-day international cricket.

His best performance in ODI cricket is 6 wickets for just 11 runs. In ODI cricket, he has taken five or more wickets three times and four wickets eight times.

In 2023, Sandeep was ranked fourth in the list of bowlers who took the most wickets in ODI cricket. He took 43 wickets in 2023 while playing 21 matches. Mohammad Sami of India took 43 wickets in 19 matches.

In that year Kuldeep Yadab of India took the highest wicket of 49 in 29 innings. Indian bowler Mohammad Siraj, who is second in this list, took 44 wickets in 24 innings. Sandeep also played an important role in qualifying Nepal for the T20 World Cup.

Sandeep has also made fast runs by coming to the crease in the lower order when the team needs it. He has scored a total of 376 runs in one day international cricket and 64 runs in T20 international cricket. He has also taken eight catches in ODIs and 20 catches in T20 Internationals.

Sandeep made his debut in ODI cricket on August 1, 2018 against the Netherlands. He also took a wicket in that match. He played the last ODI against India on September 4, 2023.

Likewise, he made his 'debut' in T20 international cricket to play against the West Indies on 31st May 2018. In that match, he played for the ICC World-11 team. Apart from this, he has also played one first-class cricket and 75 'List A' crickets.

He has taken three wickets in first class cricket and 158 wickets in List A cricket. He has played 145 T20 matches so far. He has taken a total of 206 wickets in T20 cricket.
