Surkhet / The new king of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, has taken over the throne. He is also a billionaire businessman.




65-year-old Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar has said that he will rule with fairness and justice.


Malaysia has a unique form of monarchy in which the responsibility for the throne is divided by rotation among the royal families of the nine states.


Each king is allowed to rule for five years. The current king is from the Johor province of the country. It is said that he has assets worth more than five billion rupees.


In Malaysia, the king's role is mainly ceremonial, but he can intervene in the political system in the event of a parliamentary deadlock.
